I have been doing a lot of hand applique this week but just had to stop and whip up these little quilts.
Cheri has a free pattern a month on her blog, check it out!
quilts by Cheri
you all know how much I love making little quilts and with names like this I just had to buy a few of her patterns too!
Live Simply doesn't that say it all?
hopefully in the next few months I will make them all! I have been a huge fan of hers for years. Her style is a bit more primitive then what I like so I think my little quilts are going to be a bit more upscale folk art :)

Sweet patterns. I love following her blog too. But I do love the colors you've put in these blocks.
Just came back from visiting Cheri's blog. Never been there before. I like your interpretation of the block. Can you enlighten me as to what her reference to a nine-patch at the end meant? Didn't see any of that in hers or yours. (I am in the remedial quilting class--as I've said before.)
Wonderful little pieces. I am debating on what to make, something small or a fall wall hanging, since i need another one, lol.

Those little quilts are beautiful. So simple but striking! I'm off to visit Cheris blog now...
I dig it when you share blogs! That was fun. Very cool of you to buy all her patterns. hee!!!
Enjoying your little quilts. Beautiful fabrics. Have a happy sewful weekend.
These blocks are really cute! I can definitely see a while quilt of them!
I like those blocks and can just imagine a whole quilt of them but it's pretty neat to be able to try them out in small projects.
What charming little quilts - or blocks for a bigger quilt. Will have to go for a visit...
Kathie...I got my own stuffed envelope today from Cheri with 8 new patterns included! Love at first site! I'm doing one of hers right now and just finished two other tops of hers...waiting for about 5 tops before I start quilting them all.
We bought some of the same ones!
Hey...I pulled out Cheri's pattern with the little stockings on it for the 25 days of xmas and do you remember how you figured out a better way to make those stockings? You even sent me one so I could see how you did it. Any chance you remember what we decided to do? LOL! Can't remember for the life of me but it was a good idea!
As always you so inspirer me and I am sure many others...thanks for sharing!
Hope you are having a delightful weekend.
Carolyn

I am a huge fan of Cheri's too. Love your blocks.
I hadn't seen those blocks yet on her blog. Yours are adorable! I love them!
Wonderful blocks! I have some of Cheri's patterns that I purchased a couple of years ago. When the work crunch is over, I'll need to dig those out and see what I have. I love her stuff.
Beautiful blocks!! I'm not familiar with Cheri's patterns, will have to check them out!!
Love your blocks with the squares surrounding them! Enjoyed looking at Cheri's patterns too. She has so many, I'll have to take some time and look at them all. It's fascinating how you can change the fabrics and achieve a completely different look!
Those envelopes have some of the best quilting patterns (IMHO) *s*
