just love these two fabrics together, decided to whip up a little quilt
started just playing thought this would work...no did not like the way the blocks looked unfinished
so add a strip on top and bottom, nope.. something is still off....
ok make some more blocks reversed  then alternate the blocks....
hmmm still not sure so I  spent 2 hrs or so and decided to walk away, maybe tomorrow it will look better to me!  maybe I should have just made the 4 patches for Cheri's quilt along !

I started Cheri's quilt along this morning and didn't like the way some of the fabrics I'd chosen worked (I'd added some black) so I hand pieced some more blocks. Then I realized the fabric I'd chosen for the 2" blocks didn't work so back to the scrap bins to look for something else. Quilting is often a joy, but sometimes it's just frustrating.

I'm sure you will figure out how to make this work for you.
Maybe head to Walmart before working on Cheri's QAL! : )
I got my double 4-patch blocks made up last night. Can't wait for the next step.

Just saw a dandy pink and white quilt on ebay, so that's on my mind. These are great fabrics together!

Love the last picture with just the white around the blocks. Really shows off the blocks better than with the pink added in. Maybe the pink for the binding...?

Maybe add an inner border of a surprising fabric to frame it a bit.

I'm with Lucy...a tiny bit of yellow, green, or blue between the blocks and the border will add a bit of zing! great fabrics!

I love those fabrics together. Your blocks are making me think of an "H" quilt. I'm sure you've seen those.

top one gets a bit of that swastika look.
Bottom one has promise.
Maybe try making it into a strippy quilt?

I like the alternate setting. I too love the fabrics. I started Cheri's quilt-a-long. Looking forward to the next step. Hugs

I like what you have in the last photo. Funny how the block with the one pink strip looks wider than the block with two pink strips. At least to my eyes. Such sweet fabrics.
